Hello from Morag, Martini and Daisy
We are very pleased to say that Daisy is feeling a lot better and in the past couple of days seems to be her old self again. Daisy can still only eat soft food and is still on medication but has definitely brightened up. Little Jack Nixon came to the salon during the week for his haircut and dropped his gravy bone biscuit on the floor. Daisy "Dyson" swooped in to take the biscuit but couldn't manage to eat it so Morag broke it into little bits so she could swallow them - poor Daisy. As you can see from the photo, Daisy looks a little like a sheep at the moment as she can't have a haircut or bath but Morag has tried to keep up with her coat by very gently brushing and combing where she can so Daisy doesn't become matted. We have posted a photo of Daisy today with one of her favourite toys, a little squeaky yellow duck, which she got from her doggy friends Poppy and Ben for Christmas. If you look really closely at the photo you might see her one and only tooth at the left hand side of her mouth. This is the tooth her fractured jaw is wired to. Daisy will be back at the vet later this coming week and we should find out when the next operation will take place. Thank you to everyone who has sent emails, text messages and cards wishing Daisy well - we really appreciate your kind thoughts.
With happier woofs and tail wags
